I grew up watching the Dodgers on TV and listening to every game on the radio. My mom and dad are about as diehard as you can get when it comes to bleeding Dodger blue. As a teen I thought I would go against the grain and started to root for the Braves and then while in the army I decided I would go back to my roots and cheer on the Dodgers once again.
After moving to Orange county and getting married to an OC girl I became and Angels fan when they made their first (and only) world series run. After being disapointed year after year, after year I've come to the realization that no matter how the Angels do they'll always loose to the Red Sox in the post season as they have in previous years.
After some baseball soul searching and spending time with my parents talking about baseball I decided to go back to my roots. I had been fighting it because I am not a Manny fan at all and think he brought the team down. But I am now realizing that is a phase the Dodgers will go through and Manny shall pass (hopefully sooner than later).
So it is with great pride that I say I once again bleed Dodger blue and am sorry that I ever left. Sorry mom and dad your boy has come home to Dodger stadium.
