The third circuit ruled that Delaware's law allowing for single-game betting that was going to take effect next month was a violation of federal law banning it.  This is a victory for all the major sports leagues and the NCAA (who are we kidding, they are a major league too) that opposed Delaware's plan.  According to the leagues, their reputations would be hurt and it would expose young people to gambling.  Do I need to say anything about those arguments??!!  They're laughable.  But they and Vegas got what they wanted.

The one curious thing in this ridiculous scenario is that Delaware will be allowed to take parlay bets because they ran a football-only parlay system for one year back in the 70's.  If the point is to protect the young from gambling, how is that helped by allowing parlays.  As far as a I figure, the misery in my life is all because of failed parlays.
