Malkin started -- instigated, dare I say-- a fight with Zetterberg with 19 seconds left in the third period. Hello, under the rules, he deserves a one-game suspension. But the NHL has come out and said that the Penguins didn't intend to send a message by having a player instigate a fight nor was Malkin seeking retribution for a previous incident. I'm so happy to hear that the NHL can read minds and know Malkin's intent. Now, I don't mind having Malkin on the ice for game three. It won't make any difference to the result of this series. But isn't this just the NHL ignoring their rule for the benefit of this star? The only worse thing for their ratings than the Finals ending in four games, is a sweep with stars suspended.
