Patriot Update

I said there'd be more, so here it is.

Joey Galloway played the last 5 years in Tampa Bay. In 2004 he missed 6 games, he also missed significant time last year playing in only 9 games, thus his stats were lower. From '05-'07 he played in 15-16 games and had over 1000+ yds receiving and averaged 16 yds per catch. He will definitely take some pressure off Randy Moss and give Tom Brady another target, yeah like he needs more, but sometimes more is better.

Andrew Walters, okay, I'm not even going to give stats on this guy, he played for Oakland for 4 years and didn't fair well, but who does, he only played in 15 games in 4 years, but in his defense Oakland was a horrible team.  You can't throw a football when you're on your back. His most productive year was '06, where he played in 12 games and was sacked 46 times. He's in a new system now, but I hope he doesn't play except in blow out games.  .

Ron Brace is a rookie defensive tackle, second round pick  out of Boston College. I don't know much about him, so most of this info is from the scouting report. He is a big man at 334lbs. Does a terrific job against the run and can collapse the pocket. A powerful tackler and show ability to shoot the gap. He does have some weaknesses, but I won't get into those as I want to stay positive and hope he can overcome those in time.  Oh yeah, he's from my hometown of Springfield, Mass.

Joey Galloway sure didn't do much to impress me tonight, but it is only the first preseason game. Expecting a lot of good things from Julian Edelman, dubbed a Wes Welker impersonater by Patriot Radio color man and former Patriot, Gino Capeletti.

Ron Brace looks like another Vince Wilfork but even Coach Belichick says he has a long, long, long way to go. Just hope the front office gives Vince that extention he's looking for.

Joey Galloway, one of the fastest men in football at one time, will be interesting to see if he has anything left, but players seem to rise from the dead on that team.
